Vintage Albert Nippon Sheer Navy Crepe Smocked Dress

The neckline of this Albert Nipon dress is smocked. Smocking is an embroidery stitch of ornamental needlework on a garment that is made by gathering the cloth tightly in stitches, sometimes it is elasticised.
